Honestly I wouldnt take tylenol or anything at all! Im due the day after tomorrow and I think the less medication you put in your body the better... I took tylenol twice throughout the while pregnancy just because i was in really really bad pain but other that that nothing...
I didnt even take anything for heartburn other than milk until my last month that I had to get Tums cause milk wasnt helping anymore... But my recomendation... Dont take anything unless you are in extreme pain...
My doctor has also said no ibuprofen or aspirin but acetaminophen is on the allowed list. And I am personally avoiding meds, during the first trimester especially, but I have a toddler as well and still needed to function. So if I had to I would take a small side of regular strength Tylenol.
As for the article referenced above, it's talking about long term- 28+ days use of tylenol. If your using it for the occasional headache/ minor ache then you and your fetus should be fine. Also after 14weeks of pregnancy most of the major development is complete.
Tylenol is the safest to take during pregnancy. You should not take ibuprofen because it also have blood thinner properties like aspirin.

I dont take ether but im just going on what all 4 doctors have said with all 4 pregnancys! 11year old boy, 8year old girl, 6 year old boy and a lil girl any day now!
Either way, I steer clear of pain meds during pregnancy. The migraines and pains won't compare to the pain I'm preparing for of labor. No need to stress my kidneys and liver with chemicals.
Umm....Tylenol is acetaminophen. Aspirin is ASA, or acetylsalicylic acid. Two completely different compounds. Tylenol, or acetaminophen has been deemed safe during pregnancy, ibuprofen, or Advil has NOT. As for aspirin, that's correct, it's a blood thinner.
