My husband is a welder and my best friend was a hole watch the entire time she was pregnant her baby is perfect . just make sure to wear mask or respirators . good luck
I would think that if your Dr said no its best u shouldn't. My gf is a welder and just moved to a desk job during her pregnancy in the mean time. Better safe than sorry
Follow the proper PPE and ensure your working in a well ventilated area (which is required by law anyway) you should be just fine.
But if you have any concerns make sure to talk with your boss.
I would think that as long as ur well protected with suits and masks then no harm is being done. Besides, if ur by can pay the bills for a lil while until ur able to return to work, y not? No need to cry just cuz ur a team, sometimes being a team means letting the significant other be the leader. try not to stress, I wish I could let my partner take the lead for a while but that's just not possible right now and I will be working until I have baby.
The thing is that they dont know enough about it to give u a definite answer i already asked my doctor she told me no but i know that even though she says no there are or have been women in this feild while pregnant i just cant find them to ask we are very few
This is something you need to talk to doctor about.
My bf just bought me a $1600 welding hood today was my first day welding in two months, and boy did it feel good to be back under the hood.but plz do ask i need all the info i can get
Well my husband brought me suits and masks from work, i cant remember what they were made of but particles never stuck and ive only welded stainless and iron, but ill have my husband ask around, we are having thanksgiving with his foreman and she had a baby not long ago, so i can ask her too
I im combo i do it all and i hear the alloys are the worst
Welding is like smoking X20 yes there are alot of i wouldnt say chemicals but particles and every meatal has there own hazards i really dont wanna be told not to work its very stressful because i love my job i love to take care of myself and i just cant see myself in a compartment store putting up with crap for petty cash but i also cant sit on my butt and let my bf pay everything its unfair to him and i feel like crap because we are a team idk i just wanna cry
What type of welder? Ive stick welded before while pregnant, just for fun and my doctor said its fine, ive also done orbital welding, thats fine too =)
Why do u think ur baby would come out slow cuz of what u do? It's just an occupation, unless ur exposing urself to harsh chemicals or whatnot that could affect the babies health in utero, I would think that ur fine.
I dnt think your baby will come out slow. But, you will know if your job is too much stress on your body. Also, talk to your doctor and let them know what kind of work you do, they'll definitely let you know if they have any concerns.
