version

I am 30 yrs old and this is my third pregnancy. Both prior pregnancies were fairly uneventful. They are 13 and 8 now. I am 37w 2d, on Wednesday my ob will schedule for her to be turned because she is still breech. I am very nervous and scared because i don't know what to expect. Any advice is more than welcome!!!

They do have ultrasound going on during the entire procedure, and they take breaks every few minutes to check the heart rate and make sure everything is okay. I was told tranverse versions have a higher success rate since bsby is already half way there. Good luck whichever way you decide to go! :)

I might end up in the same scenario except my son is transverse (laying sideways). I've researched the version and honestly I'm not sure it's worth it. I've read stories from women that have had it done and most of the stories ended in it not working, an emergency c section, a knot developing in the umbilical cord, or a baby with the umbilical cord around its neck. My doctor told me the versions only work 50% of the time and if i get one they would do it in the operating room in case my baby goes into distress and i need an emergency c section and he said an ultrasound would be on my baby the entire time i guess to check for cord placenta  issues. Not sure if I'm convinced its worth it. I'm going to talk to my doc again tomorrow. They can be risky and i personally wouldn't do it if there wasn't an ultrasound on the baby the whole time. Even then i dont know if i would.

I had teo versions done in October and AMDG is right, they are painful and there is more pressure put on your belly than you ever thought would be safe. It's an intense situation...unfortunately for me my baby girl didn't take to well with either one, her heart rate dropped. So the second attempt ended up in a c section at 39 weeks. Even though I didn't have the beat experience I know I did everything poasible to try to get her to flip so I'd do it again if I had to!

I haven't personally experienced that but I have a friend whose baby was turned from a breech position. It's somewhat painful because it's hard to do but for her it worked, and she was able to have her baby perfectly naturally. It seems like a good thing that they're trying! Hoping it works for you!
