Baby hiccups :)

I am 31 weeks and 4 days and I Can feel my baby get hiccups multiple times a day.  How Come they get hiccups and is it normal for baby to have hiccups this much?  Anyone else's baby get hiccups all the time?

The doctor told me healthy babies have hiccups. My little girl gets them all the time and I can feel them several times a day sometimes. :) it means they are learning to use their airway functions and it's a good sign!

Ya. my first never had hiccups My second got them so much I had to ask the Dr cause I was worried. This one now gets them at least once or more a day

I have read that it is because the baby is practicing breathing. So kind of when we swallow to much air it causes us to get hiccups, same concept. :)

Yah it's normal. . It was funny when my lil man got em my hubby had his head on my belly and he got to feel him hiccup lol. . He was like whoooo
