I left work when i was 31 weeks pregnant as i work in a nursing home with the elderly with dementia so a very physical job and couldnt go any longer with a growing bump
I left work a week before my due date and didn't go into labor for two weeks. You should work as long as you're comfortable.
I am 37 week and still working and will probably continue to work until I go into labor.
With my first, I worked in a laboratory, but had plenty of time to sit down, my last pregnancy and this one I work in a office setting...with all three I have and plan to work all the way up to my delivery.
I'm 33 weeks but I'm going to keep going until hopefully... Um... Omg I don't have many weeks left!! Maybe 36 or 37. It's a part time retail but it still requires a lot of physical activity. I hate going up ladders and step stools. We have to bend and reach a lot when putting the clothes away, and stand or be on feet for 4 hours at a time. I'm wanting to raise the white flag NOW! Lol. It all depends on your job, and your pregnancy
34 weeks is when I stopped. I was on my feet 9+ hours a day and was starting to get contractions. My plan was to work until I was close to due date but, I get 6 months paid leave anyway.
With my 1st I stopped at 36 weeks bc I had severe galbladder attacks and was told if I had one more they would do emergency surgery and take my son in the process and I was working as a manager at a fast food place. This time around I worked until 1pm with my contractions being 8 min apart 3 hours was at the hospital by 2:30pm and my daughter came at 8:14pm.
Are u all from the US? How many months do u have off work i think we work differently here in the UK
