7 days late: hpt still negative!
I need some words of wisdom please!I am currently 7 days late (usually like clockwork) but my hpt shows up negative (test done when I was 5 days late) I am experiencing symptoms such as nausea, breast tenderness and cramping but as far as the test is concerned I am not pregnant! I have spent a small fortune on these hp tests and just get more and more anxious everytime they show up negative. AAArrrgh! I have ventured "up there" and have noticed that my cervix is very high up and that the opening has turned upward. There is no sign of spotting just a little discharge. Any advice or similar experiences which have resulted in a pregancy? Feeling so frustrated! Where is that tub of Haagen Dazs?!
It sounds like I'm in the same boat. I'm actually 10 days late! I've taken 4 tests (3 home and 1 at the hospital) but they've all come up negative. I also have morning sickness, bloating, dizziness, and slight cramping. No breast tenderness. Then again I have virtually no feeling in them anyways. So that doesn't mean anything. I have not spotting but little discharge as well. Can we still be preggars and not show positive on a test? Please help!
Feel relieved that it's not just me! I have been doing some internet browsing since I posted my question and it would seem that some women just don't have as much HCG as others in the beginning and therefore it takes longer for the tests to show up +. I was considering a blood test but my doctor has refused as I have no medical problems. So I guess we are going to have to play the waiting game! I am going to take a test next Wednesday. Keep me informed though!
I knew that some women had lower levels than others in the beginning, I just don't know how long it should take to show. I've got a Dr. appt on Thursday. I think I'll go crazy before then! We weren't planning on getting preggars, but now that we might be, we're REALLY excited.
If it's any consolation, my sister took a very long time to get her BFP. She had several HPT and blood tests done. The Dr. kept telling her that she wasn't pg. But it ended up a few weeks later that she got a BFP on HPT! I would just wait it out for a little while and test again. If it's still BFN, then i would contact your Dr. to see if there are other problems that are causing you not to get AF. Good luck! Baby Dust to all of you!
I'mnot sure either. But I think AF is Aunt Flow (your period). As for BFP all I know is P is positive N is negative.

Same thing with me ladies. Im going on 12 days late, and still nothing. Tests have come back Neg. also. I had a friend to tell me, just the other day that she tested neg. up to the exact 2 week date of her last missed period. She found out that the was pregnant, just last week. I believe she said it didnt even show up Pos. until she was around 6 weeks. I'll take another test in a few days. You should as well.

Well, dont be like me, and get so excited that you use them all up in 2 days. Everytime the word "pregnant" crossed my mind, I was running to the restroom testing! LOL
Hello everyone! I am new to this forum, but am in the same boat as the rest of you. I am 19DPO, but am on Prometrium to keep my AF away. I have taken HPTs which were negative, but I don't know how long to wait before I should end this cycle. I don't think my AF will come as long as I'm on Prometrium. Ahhhh!
Alright ladies. What do you think? On Monday I actually felt normal - no sickness, dizziness, etc. Then on Tues I started bleeding. But, it was REALLY light and the color wasn't right - it was a kind of mauve color. (Weird - I know! I hope this isn't TMI.) Today, I have some serious cramps which is weird because I don't cramp - ever! I am still bleeding and it's still pretty light. I don't even know if I should call it AF. My doctor's appt is tomorrow. What do you guys think? Am I crazy? Should I take another HPT or just wait until tomorrow? Do you think something is wrong or am I just starting my period 12 days late? (I've only been one or two days off in the past - usually I'm like clockwork!) Thanks for your opinions! Baby dust to all!
PS - the bleeding on Tues. was a pinkish color and I didn't even need a pad to control it. Today's is the mauvish color. Thanks again!
Take a test, if it will help ease your mind. Still go to the Doc. visit though!!Just to make sure everything is going okay with u.
I am also in the same boat! I am 7 days late and have taken 2 HPT's-both negative! I've had some cramping (minor) in the last few days, and I normally never have cramps. Other than that, no symptoms. AF is ALWAYS on-time, either 27 or 28-day cycles, today is day 35!!!! I guess I should just keep waiting it out? I feel like I waste so much money on HPT's!!
I am experiencing the same problem, now a week late, with negative HPT and scared to be dissapointed by another test. Would like to know how it turned out for u guys.
I'm now 12 days late and i am always on time. I have taken 5 hpt and they are all negative. I have a doctor appt on the 18th. My breasts aren't tender but i think they might be just a little bigger. I have been nausceous on and off. Is heartburn a symptom of pregnancy? I have been having that a lot lately and don't normally have it.
