Well, I've read and heard of stories where people didn't get a positive result until they were quite far in, not everybody is the same.
if your period still does't come, I'd take another test and go back to the doctor.
Good luck.
If you're using a calculator with irregular cycles, you're likely missing your ovulation dates. Those only work for regular cycles. You need to be charting your basal body temperature and using ovulation predictor kits. You can also look for signs of ovulation like cervical mucous. After a missed period tests are 99% accurate. Have a beta blood test done and see what your hCG is at. If you're pregnant, it will be higher than 5.
thanks bailybob....it has been 2 weeks and still a neg!
i went to the doc. yesterday got a prego tst and it came out neg. they said it might just be to early to test or my cyle may just be changing...yes i am tracking them! thats the good this about applications on my phone lol....what is TTC?
2 of my friends had to wait 2 weeks after there missed period to get a pos on a home test some people have to wait longer gud luck!
Sorry but I think it is probably unlikely. I could be wrong but I would think that if you were 7 days late, then you should have a positive HPT by now, and it is probably too early to have any pregnancy symptoms that you would notice. I know that when I was trying to get pregnant, I was certain every month that I was pregnant based on symptoms - it drove me crazy! It is really tricky because the early pregnancy symptoms are so similar to PMS symptoms. If your cycles are irregular, it is possible that you ovulated late and it may still be too early to detect on a HPT. Are you tracking your ovulation dates? I highly suggest this if you are TTC. Good luck!
thanks so much!...i am going to try and take another test this week just not to sure when i should do it...im afraid my hormone levels are messed up from the prenatal pills i have been taking...do u think thats possible?
gud luck !
