Could I be pregnant?

Hi I have had a light period for 5 days mostly dark/light brown with discharge and light red/red blood so I sometimes use a tampon because when I use a pad nothing appears to be there and only sometimes when I wipe. It goes completely at night and most of the time I don't have to use a tampon or anything. I have had no cramps and this is not like me as I usually have a very heavy periods and bad cramps. I am tired all time! I have sore breasts but I usually do when I am due on.
I have a 20 month old son so I feel silly as I feel like I should know if I am pregnant again. I thought there would be no point doing a pregnancy test as I am on my period even though it is light.

If I couldn't be pregnant then why am I having such a light period??`

No we are not. I am still having a dark brown but sometimes more blood for no more than an hour most of the time it looks like its drying up but then doesn't so I don't think I am pregnant. I stop at night then start in the morning and it has been 8 days now. Going to see the Doctor Friday.

It's very normal for women to just have off cycles in their lifetimes. It happens for dozens of reasons, and sometimes for no reason at all. You definitely need to take a pregnancy test if the bleeding you're having is not normal for you. If it's not, more than likely it's not a true period and pregnancy could be a very real possibility. Are you trying to conceive?
