I feel stupid..

I'm 17 and a straight a student. You'd think I'd be smart enough to have my boyfriend use a condom correctly and make sure it was on right. Right? Well obviously not. He told me yesterday he believes the condom leaked its been 3 days since we had sex. What should I be watching for. My periods are very irregular so I never know when I'm going to have one.. I really feel stupid.

I'm 17. I just have always played it safe took birth control used condoms. But I had a reaction to the birth control and I can no longer take any form :( so I've always used condoms with my boyfriend but normally I'm always like its on correct right? And well make sure but this time nope and of course now I'm going crazy! Im trying to just not think about it but what's really bothering me is that he tried to hide the fact that it leaked and I didn't notice:(

But it happens before your period but I no its different I think for people that have irregular periods I may be the same but don't think bout it that much

I would just wait until 4 weeks no point us telling you this and that because you will be constantly looking for it and it will be on your mind and it may not happen and you will be working yourself up about it just wait hun until 4weeks

if you think you were fertile at the moment or a few days after I would wait and test after approximately three weeks. I did not have any symptoms at all, so dont trust on them for telling if you are pregnant or not

Try not to stress yourself looking for the signs of pregnancy though. I know a girl who stressed looking for the signs and ended up going through a hysteric (phantom) pregnancy. Thats when your body starts giving off signs and symptoms of pregnancy when in actual fact the person is not pregnant

I'd wait about 3wks to be sure when you take the test and yes the dollar store ones work just as well as the 8$ ones at target or Walmart. My positive test was from the dollar store lol

Just curious why he waited to tell you ? You could have taken plan b birth control had he told you right away and you wouldn't be worrying right now. He sounds like the one who isn't thinking. Not you.

My friend is irregular and she's expecting her 2nd so its possible I would wait a month/4weeks to be sure  good luck

Wait a couple weeks and take a test, keep testing for a little while. My periods were irregular as well so i always tested regularly. How smart you are has nothing to do with it. I was 17 early grad amd in college making A's, took my pill religouslh, and we used condoms and yet my test still came up positive. Its not your fault. Good luck

U have to be ovulating in order to get pregnant.  But since u are irregular then it might be hard to know what the right timing is. U are not stupid. Things happen it's how u handle it that decided which road u go down. Just wait 2-3 weeks and take a test. The cheaper dollar store ones worked great for me. I found out two days before my missed period. if not go get a blood test to know for sure. Don't think too much into because u can make yourself start believe u are having symptoms. Good luck with everything but I doubt ur pregnant.

Well don't feel stupid girl! Honestly you really arent. Everyone makes mistakes.  Birth control and condoms etc...aren't always 100% just be watching for moodiness, nausea, exhaustion.  I'll tell you though those symptoms probably won't show up for awhile though some get them sooner than others, all of my symptoms hit me at week 8. But I was crying all the time in the first month before I found out.
