Medium flow discharge, took pregnancy test negative

Hello, so I'm very very worried. For the past week I have a brown discharge, it was a medium flow so I wore a pad liner. I didn't think anything of it until I told my friend about it and she saying its a pregnancy symptom. It started going down and yesteday when I wiped there was blood dark red but not a lot but enough to notice and when I wiped it it was red and the brown was gone. I took an early pregnany test last night and it was negative, I still have one more to take but scared. I feel like I've just been so worried and stressing out over this, I've been going through a lot of stress for awhile because of school so could that be a reason as to why it came out brown? Im also irregular! But my period came the time it was suppose to and is ending the time it's suppose to but it's brown and medium flow when I usually have a heavy red flow that slows down near the end. Please help me

Brown blood is old. If you've skipped a month at any point recently, it's probably built up from then. I'm also irregular and those sorts of things weren't unusual for me.

I also have major anxiety, and just really over thinking it. My boyfriend always pulls out before he comes, and we have protected sex with a condom and nothing went wrong or goes wrong. I am not on birth control but if I'm safe after this I think I will go on it because I don't want to experience this type of fear ever again
