If it's not a pregnancy, what else could it be?

Hi, I'm feeling so confused right now. I don't have anyone I could talk to about this. I had sex with my boyfriend on July 11 and got my period right on schedule on the 14. I was supposed to start my next period on August 9 but so far nothing. I even took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and it came out negative.

Is it even possible this could be a pregnancy? If not, what else could delay my period for so long?

Hi! Stress and anxiety can affect your periods! And other stuff can affect it as well. If the period after the risk was totally normal, with normal flow, on the right day, during the same amount of time, then it's really unlikely that you'd be pregnant from that risk, specially cause implantation bleeding wouldn't show up that early. I'd trust the pregnancy test, but if you're still worried, take another one or go see a doctor (if your period don't show up).
