no fetus seen

Im 5 weeks pregnant  went for my first scan today but no fetus seen is it normal and after how long can i be able to see the fetus my boyfriend is worried so i dont know how best can i explain it to him.

Around 6.5 weeks you will be able to hear the heartbeat of your little baby.That will relax your mind.So you can request your Doc for that.

If you're pregnant, your baby is very tiny. It's completely normal to not be able to see it at 5 weeks, or even 6 weeks.
Most doctors don't want to give you scans before 8-10 weeks for that reason. It's easy to get scared even when everything is fine.
