A faint but definite second line

Hi everyone!  I saw a faint but definite second line on my stick yesterday.  I want to scream to the world that I am pregnant, but I am so scared to do that this early since this is my fourth pregnancy with three miscarriages within a year, so I decided to post here.  I went to the hospital this morning to confirm the pregnancy and I hope that they call me with a good news and good numbers.    I really hope this one sticks.  Anyways, I am happy today... and won't try to think about bad things.  According to my LMP, my due date is April 13th.  Congrats to all mommy to be!

I know....there is nothing like seeing fast flickerling in the screen.  With my second pregnancy I saw my baby's hearbeat at 6w 2d (although she stopped growing at 7w) I cried as soon as I saw it.  It's impossible not to think about it and 1day feels like 1week.

This time around my RE wants to watch me closer, so she asked me to come in next week 8/15 (5w 3d) to see everything is in the right place with fetus in it. She said that I wouldn't be able to see heartbeat yet, and she would do another ultrasound around 7weeks to see the heartbeat.

Keep me posted... I hope you walk out the door with a picture of your little one in your hand tomorrow.

thanks, i'm certainly hoping to see a heartbeat - i've been given a scan appointment for tomorrow so i'm nervous and excited in pretty equal measures. It occured to me yesterday that if it is ectopic like the previous pregnancy that i may not be coming back home tomorrow, i'm so impatient to have the scan and just cant imagine what its like to see your babys heartbeat.

Are you having any further tests?

Don't worry about the number (funny.... It's me saying that!  I am the biggest worrier..)   With my second pregnancy, my number on CD 31 was over 2000 and 5100 two days later, but I miscarried at 7 weeks.  You never know....  As long as the number is going up you have a hope...  By the way you'd be able to see heartbeat with ultrasound by now. (over 6 weeks)  That would be the sure way to find out your little bean is doing fine.
Don't worry.  I hope that you have BIG numbers next friday...I will be thinking about you..

my due date is 2nd april, had my second blood test today (6weeks 2days), but won't get the results until next friday!
Pinkflakes, just as an update, i double checked what my levels were on my last test while i was there today, the day before i was due on cd 30, and it was 150. Which is worrying me a bit as yours is so much higher, but at least it is above the 5 level.

It's so nice to see someone who has the same due date as mine.  Have you had blood test yet?  I did three times - the first one was 35 as you saw already, second one on CD28 was 621, and today (CD 30) it was 1581.  At least the number is rising the way it's supposed to be.  I am having ultrasound on 8/15 (5wks 3days).  Since I miscarried before they want to watch me close which I don't mind...  I hope we both have healthy & happy nine months.  I am scared, but soooooo happy that I have my little friend back...

Congratulations, I hope everything works out for you. I got my BFP 4 days before my AF was due which was 8/4 and my due date is April 13th too.

5 1/2 weeks. i can understand that. It really affects you finding out that a bfg doesnt necessarily mean a bouncing baby doesnt it. I feel heathily pregnant this time but it doesnt stop me being on tentahooks until i get it confirmed. Should have it confirmed in the next 2 weeks, but thats soooo long

Thanks for the information!  I know I am in the normal range, but after three miscarriages, I am scared of anything.  I am going back for another test on tuesday and hope I get big fat number. How far are you?

Hope that helps a little, you're within the range it says is normal but a repeat is needed as the most important thing is how they are rising. Hope you dont have to wait long for that second test and results

Congratulations to you too Amg!!!  I hope that we both have babies in our arms in nine months.

Has anyone had HCG level tested before missing period?  My af isn't due till next monday (8/4) and I had the test today.- the number was 35.  The nurse said that it's too early to say whether it's too low or not.  She wants me to come in again get another test to see if it's rising.  I understand but I forgot to ask her if 35 for CD24 is right number.  Any idea anybody???  My progestetone was 24 which is good...

I wish i could let myself feel that same excitement as my last pregnancy, but too aware of how badly things can go wrong so am in limbo until i get a scan to confirm babys ok and in the right place this time.
