Sharp Pains on Side of each thigh

Ok....Has anyone experienced this? When I'm sleeping ( I usually sleep on my left side) I get theses sharp pains shooting from my hips to my knees on both sides. I have an appt on Wednesday and I do plan on asking my Dr but I figured I'd throw this out there. Someone told me "maybe the baby is resting on your sciatic nerve"...I looked up Sciatic nerve and all I saw was mostly back pain. Someone else said to me "oh it's your hips widening"...Maybe I     should just stop asking people and wait to ask my Dr. lol

Thanks ladies...I'll update later on today. My appt is at 1pm..... Last night was so uncomfortable. All I can think of is the pain is going to get worse as I get further along:(

I have to lay with a pillow between my thighs because I have pain through out my legs and around my pelvic bone. This is my fourth child and I know it is just part of the pregnancy.

It really sounds like your sciatic nerve is pinched..When the nerve is pinched you can have pain in your back or shooting down your legs..when you lay down try putting a pillow between your thighs.

Of course ask your Dr. they know best.......I have not experienced this and this is my second pregnancy. It could be the sciatic nerve or it could be that you are laying on your side more then you did previously and your hips are getting sore or you are pinching a nerve.
