Advice for Sleeping at Night???

Hi ladies,

Does anyone have any advice for sleeping comfortably at night? Trying to sleep on my left side only is making me crazy already because I've never been a side sleeper (I know all the experienced moms are thinking, "And it's only going to get worse--just you wait!") Is there any other position that is okay or that has worked for any of you? I keep reading all this scary stuff about sleeping on your back...

I have tried the regular pillow thing, the problem I have with them is not being the right height and them moving a lot during the night and I don't have that problem with the pregnancy pillows.

I place a regular size pillow between my knees when I sleep on my side now. It helps keep my back in line and I wake up feeling rested. It's way cheaper than the pregnancy pillows they market.

Yeah, I'm thinking I will have to just suck it up and fork over the $$$ for a Snoogle...that's such a scandalous price for a pillow, but I'm just about willing to try anything at this point LOL! Thanks!

you will eventually have to sleep on your side cause you will get bigger and sleeping on your back can put pressure and make it harder to breath. I rely on my body pillow because I can put my head on it and place it between my knees, puts me in a much more comfortable position. I am usually a stomach sleeper, so it takes some getting use too, but remember its not forever. I highly suggest getting a pregnancy pillow, makes the world of diffrence for me!!

I think sleeping on your back is fine until you get big and it gets uncomfortable for you..I am 20 weeks and I am usually a side sleeper but I have to lay on my back until I am almost asleep then I roll over but I think as long as your not big I see no problem in sleeping on your back...you could always try putting a body pillow in between your legs while laying on your side to see if that helps you
