glucose test

So with my 2 other kids I never passed the 1 hr test and after doing the 3 hr test my result were normal. So I never had a any blood sugar problem.
This pregnancy hasn't been different  didn't pass the  1 hr so went in for 3 hr and results were fine as I thought. Till I get a call from internal medicine that my 3rd blood result was abnormally low. My blood sugar was at 124 and it dropped to 36. They were calling to check on me to make sure  I had gotten home okay and was have an okay evening. Well I told the dr. That after my last blood draw I was feeling tired and very sweaty but I took it as I was hungry  since I had been fasting since 745 the night before. Thinking about it now I did feel like I was talking way too fast and felt flight and faint but didn't think much too of cause I was eating then and thought it would go away after I ate enough. But now I'm a bit worried that it can happen again. SO did say this pregnancy  iv been cravibg and eatibg more candy which with my other 2 it was salty stuff and this one sweets. And one else blood sugar have issues?

Ericaponder...that's good to know, I'm not a huge carb eater. I think I'm psyching myself out for the test b.c I don't like to drink stuff for tests. I'm nervous it will taste awful and make me nauseous

AshleyB1221 its not about sugar intake more so carbs. I too thought sugar raise your glucose levels but it's the carbs that cause the spike.

I have my test tmr morn, and am so nervous. 1)I am horrible when it comes to drinking things for tests, I hope I can guzzle it down ok and it doesn't taste absolutely horrific. 2) I have always been a candy and sweets eater. I've been cutting back since becoming pregnant for health and everything, but I'm so nervous to have to cut out all sugar from my diet if I fail. I haven't had any signs or symptoms of gd but it's always scary knowing you could still have it
