How far along were you when you heard the heartbeat?

Well, I'm scheduled for my doctor's appt and ultrasound this week.  I'm just over 6 weeks according to Fertility Friend.  I was wondering how far along were you when you first heard the heartbeat?  I'm hoping to be able to hear it, but I'm scared that we won't.

Thats awesome to know. I thought I read in one of my books you couldn't actually hear the heartbeat until around 12wks. Now I'm excited to have my appt. tomarrow at 10wks. Maybe I will hear it.

On Monday I had my first ultrasound. I was at 7 weeks 1 day and was able to see and hear the heartbeat :) Good luck!!!!

I am just 6 weeks today and was hoping to get an u/s this week.  My doctor told me it is early and probably would not see a heartbeat...so best to wait until next week.  It probably does depend a lot on the technology but don't panic if you don't see the heartbeat.  Hopefully they can get you back in to see it in a week or so if you don't.

It depends on whether they use the Doppler or an ultrasound.  Since my pregnancy immediately followed a miscarriage, my Doc did an u/s to determine how far along I was.  The u/s put me at 8w 4d, and I was able to hear the heartbeat very clearly!  It was an unexpected bonus. = )

You can't hear the Heartbeat until around 12 wks. But starting at around 6wks you could see the heart flutter. I saw the Heartbeat at 5wks5days. It was 102 and then I week later it was much stronger and at 137.

I was just wondering, since I will be 6 weeks and 4 days per Fertility Friend on the day of my doctors appt and (hopefully) ultrasound.  I've been going nuts here, and hoping that we will hear the heartbeat then.

Hi! Congrats!  I heard mine at 7 weeks exactley but they warned me it may be too early to hear anything...so although you very well may get to hear the h/b, remember that if you don't yet you still have time!  Good Luck!
