Risk of getting a miscarriage again?

I'm due August 23rd 2009 and cant help but be nervous. I recently had a d and c on october 13th. I had a very normal period on november 16th. I have 2 boys that had "perfect" pregnancies. I had a TON of morning sickness during the 1st trimester with both of them. SO when i found out we were able to concioeve so quickly I became very excited, but with that cam a lot of apprehension. The doctor said that the odds are in our favor, but Im not having any symptoms. They already checked my hcg levels and they are normal, but I have cramping. Am i just over-nervous? Luckily I have a lot of distraction, but I get nervous with every cramp and twinge in my body. Any advice?

I would say I went through a pad and a half every 3-4 days. It would get heavy, then die off for a while, then all the sudden I would feel it walking or when I went to the bathroom and it would start all over again for a day or two. I remember always feeling strange and paraniod knowing I was pregnant walking and laying around wearing sanitary pads!

How much blood did you get at once and how frequent?

I've already informed the hospital of this and they have advised me to monitor it and get plenty of rest, I've also heard that alot of women that are pregnant with twins, bleed and it can be the bodys way of making room for them.

Thats great to hear that they have heartbeats and they are right on with their size! with the bleeding. Id trust your doctors. I had bleeding on and off with my first pregnancy the whole first trimester and had a healthy baby boy. But, if its filling the toilet, i would definatly bring that to your doctors attention. Ive never had twins, just 2 boys 13 mos appart, ( pretty close to twins!) Just relax and thing good thoughts! Remember, all you can do is your best.! Happy New Year and keep me posted!!!

We're fine!! Had an u/s Monday morning and my 2 babies have grown in size and measure what they should for being 2 months pregnant with 2 strong heart beats.

It would appear that I've been bleeding from below and in between the 2 sacs and they don't know why, they didn't seem particaularly concerned and said that I'm at no higher risk of the 'm' word than anyone else and advised me to monitor it and get plenty of rest so I'm either in bed or on the settee!! This is such a worrying time.

We came home very relieved from having the u/s and to my suprise, the bleeding started again, it lasted from around 1:00 pm to going to bed, about 12 hours of filling the toilet so that the water was red. The following day, (yesterday) it had cleared again and turned brown (old blood) and today it is mostly clear again. I'm hoping I'm not going to loose anymore fresh red blood.

What does everyone think to this, do you think I'll be ok?

Also im sure if you saw your doctor and everything turned out normal it was due to implantaion. The eggs just nestling in and your placenta starting to become more efficient to start providing your babies of the nutrition it needs. But please let me know how your appt went!!! I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Thanks you everyone...Angelface1980, how did your ultrasound go today???!!! A d and c, short for dialation and cutterage is preformed when the baby usually has no heartbeat and hasnt developed to where it should be. I had gone in for an ultrasound at 14 weeks, feeling totally normal. No blood, cramping, no signs anything was wrong, and the baby had no heartbeat and had stopped developing at 12 weeks. I went in for the procedure. Its an outpatient procedure that usually lasts around 4 hours. I was knocked out fot the entire thing, and it felt like mild cramps for a few days afterward. My throat actually hurt more than my uterus due to the breathing tube,.  But, since I had a very normal period since the procedure the doctor gave us the go ahead, and we are now at 6 weeks. and extreemly nervous. Im just curious if anyone knows of anyone or has been through a d and c and know if it resulted in a healthy/normal pregnancy.???

After a m/c or when something goes wrong with the pregnancy, there is always worry.  I panic about every little thing this time.  This pregnancy is # 3 for me and still praying this one will be a healthy little baby. At this point we just want to have a baby to hold and make it through the first trimester. Through our struggles we have talked to so many people that have had a m/c in between their children and then went on to have a totally normal pregnancy.  i know nothing I say can take the worry away, because nothing anyone says to me ever helps at all :)

Just keep praying for the best!!

I'm not sure on all the terms, what is a D & C?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant with ''TWINS'' and yesterday morning I had a horrible experience, I went to the toilet and to my surprise, when I wiped, it was fresh red blood, it came out heavy for about 10 minutes then completely stopped. No cramps.

We rushed over to casualty and because its weekend they sent me away saying that they had no slots for an u/s, told me to come back on Monday. I'm going out of my mind with worry and don't know whats happening or what to think.

I've had no fresh red blood since, it has in fact turned brown (old blood), I've spoken to the on call IVF nurse this morning and she seems to think that there's hope that things still might be ok.

Sorry to ask you and I really hope you don't mind but do you have any thoughts on this, I was sick as normal this morning but I don't know if that means anything??...
