Hello everyone

It has been a while since I have been on the site.  I have been browsing around and reading some of the post.  I had my 18 week ultrasound and everything looked great!!!  I feel so blessed and I thank the Lord that the baby is developing normally.  I also found out that we are having a little girl!!!  At first DH was a little disappointed because he had his heart set on a little boy but the idea of having "Daddy's little girl" is sinking in.  I am currently 20 weeks.  On Tuesday (March 24th) I will be 21 so I at my half way point and starting to breath a little easier.  I actually purchased her 1st  outfit.  It was a 2T but I figured by the time she got that big the dress would be gone so I will hang it in her closet and wait for her to grow into it.

My due date is still Aug 4, 2009 and she is growing, however, I do get alot of unwanted comments about how large my stomach is and people will ask are you sure it is just 1 in there?!  People can be so rude sometimes.  I believe my best comments are I can't believe you are 40 and pregnant.  I just say,  "Apparently my reproductive system disagrees with you."
Anyway I just wanted to say "Hi" to my cyber family and apologize for being gone soo long.  Working makes it difficult but I will try to log in on a more frequent basis.

Oh!! I thought when you said that you were finally getting one of those too, I thought you meant the big u/s not a little girl.  Call it pregnancy brain.  I get it now.  Well I am excited that you are having a little girl also.  Especially after 3 boys!! Yikes.  I have one of each but I think a mixture is nice but you know what this means for you??..... You are no longer the queen of your castle, the princess is moving in.  Well I guess for now the two of you can share the royal throne. (smile)

Take care and congrats.  I thought I could add my tracker to my post but I don't think I quite have that figured out.  Oh well, I will keep trying.

Hi, I thought you were having twins.  I did not know if you had left this forum and joined the one for moms of multiples.  I remember reading some of your post when we were "early" pregnant.  I can't believe you will be 22 weeks on the 9 Apr 09 so you are 20 weeks now right?  I will be 21 weeks tomorrow.  It seems like the time is starting to pick up.

Has your doctor scheduled for you to drink the glucose drink yet?  I thought they did it at 28 weeks but apparently my OB/GYN has me scheduled to drink it at 24 weeks.

Well I hope you get what you are wanting when it comes to the gender of your babies but more importantly I hope they are both healthy and growing as they should.

Take care of yourself as well.

Nice to here from you. Congratulations on your 18 week u/s scan, that's brillient news and certainly something to smile about!! Well done.

I'm almost 5 months pregnant with twins and my u/s scan is on Thursday 09th April, I'll be 22 weeks then. I hope and pray that everything is fine with the babies, I'm also hoping to find out what the genders are.

Look after yourself.

Thanks for the hello and welcome back.  So you get the big ultrasound in a few days!! That is so exciting.  I have my little bean on CD and I get to watch her every once in a while.  She was sleeping and the tech kept tryin to wake her up  but she was not having any of that.  She did manage to open her legs just enough for us to get the money shot.

I measured my abdomen and it is 40cm. A couple of other girls at work are pregnant with their 1st and they are in their 20's, well this is #3 for me and I am 40 so I am just going to enjoy.

Trust me the teenage years are some of the most difficult ones.  My daughter is 19 and has been driving for 2yrs and my son will be 15 on April 8th and he is chomping at the bit to drive.  I guess I will give in and let him get his permit.  With thi growing belly I will probably need an escort every once in a while.

Hi and welcome back:) Congrats on your little girl!! I am finally getting one of those too!! I cant wait, although im not looking forward to the "teenage years" LOL, But I cant wait to buy PINK:)
BTW- with my last pregnancy it was the worst, every body thought I would deliver at 6 months because I was so big, that or I got the "are you sure there arent twins in there" too!! I have to say I love my belly though!! So I didnt mind. I am also REALLY BIG this time around too, probably from not having time to lose baby weight from my last but thats ok , The bigger the better ,I always say:) I also tend to have extra fluid in there.

drmwvrjean: Thanks on the congrats.  Secretly I was wanting a girl but really it did not matter.  I have 1 of each and all I wanted was a healthy, happy baby.

kaprovea: Great to hear from you again.  I can't believe you are getting the same comments.  jenkaye21 has the right idea.  Just say "Yeah and I love it!!"  I am not sure what people want or what they expect.  We are providing room in our bodies for another human being that will be fully functional at birth all they have to do is grow and I guess people want us to deliver 2-3lb babies instead of healthy 7, 8 or 9lbs babies.  Where do they think the baby is going to grow and show???

Dani711: Congrats on your little man.  I am so glad she is looking healthy also.  I know that your journey has been one of uncertainty and heart break.  I know that my journey has not been nearly as painful as yours but it is frightening to think about bringing another human being into this world.  I love the name.  I think that will be a good name for him.
I would attach that pregnancy if I knew how to operate it.  I really am going to make an effort to try and remain in touch with you all in the next few months because before long we are all going to be moms.  I can't believe we are at our half way point.  It seems we were all TTC and now our bellies are growing.  How exciting.  I am finally able to breath a little easier.  I' not sure about anyone else but a little part of me is still a little afraid.
Maybe I am being a little paranoid but that is just me.

Well everyone take care and let's keep growing our little ones.

Congrats on your little girl, it seems you are in the minority for this month!  I am due August 2 and just found out it is a BOY!!
I am huge, too, although I haven't gained many pounds; when people comment about how "big" I am, I usually say, "I know! I love it!" LoL, becuase I really do!  This is my 4th pregnancy and (maybe) last, so I am trying to enjoy everything!

Hey, great to hear from you!  So glad your u/s went great.  Our went better than we could have ever hoped as well.  We are having a boy and I know that if it was a girl my husband would have had to do a bit of adjusting, but wouldn't have been able to be too disappointed in having a "daddy's girl" either.  The fact that she is healthy has got to weigh out all the disappointments of having a girl.  Once you have her, he will never even understand why he wanted a boy!
Everything else is going great here too, having a bit of trouble with gaining too much weight although I can't figure out how I am...I am still really healthy and excersicing yet keep gaining...but Colter is heatlhy so that is all that matters!

I get the same comments about if I am sure that there is only one in there bc of the size of my belly but im short so I figure I will be huge by the end of all of this.
