UNCOMFORTABLE!

Tomorrow I will be 31w+0d pregnant with twins.   I just feel soooo freaking uncomfortable!!

- Heartburn - oh my gosh!  just miserable!  I had it the last couple weeks of the SS with my daughter, but not every evening like I get it now and not so persistent.  I can have heartburn still 8 hours after I eat sometimes!!! :(
- Sitting - My belly is sooo uncomfortable when I sit - regardless of where I sit: in bed, at work, on the couch, etc.  My belly is just so squished I guess. :(
- Laying down - I can never find a good position and at night that combined with the heartburn makes me sometimes just lay there until 4am :(
- Sleeping is impossible because of the above mentioned laying down problem and the fact that I have to get up 5 times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom!

The good news is that I had a dr. appt today and everything is still looking good
- cervix is softer but still closed.
- all blood/urine etc values are ok;
- blood pressure ok;
- babies are the same size - both around 4 lbs :)

The only worrisome things are that the lowest baby is still butt down (but there is still time for her to turn) and my weight gain in the past month was 0, although the babies each put on a lb....

How are the other August moms feeling?

For the past 2-3 weeks I have been working just 3 hrs per day....my dr wanted me to cut back to that level because she said being pregnant with twins is stressful on the body.

It is pretty difficult for me to sit in my office chair - i am just so uncomfortable at work.  I plan to work several days per week from home for the next couple of weeks and only go in the office 2 times per week or so.  At 34+0 my maternity leave starts (in Germany you always get 6 weeks before due date)

ps. my bottom baby is also bum down! :(  Hopefully she turns around in the next few weeks.

So I'm right here with you, Pookie.  These twin girls are wearing me out already.  My lower twin is butt down, also, "wedged in as low as she can go" as my dr. puts it.  I swear I can feel my pelvis spreading with each ounce she puts on.  And the ligaments are so sore from growing so fast....   And swelling...  Good Lord my feet are deformed.

I'm still working (at 28 weeks now) but it's really difficult to move around to & from my car to the office, and around the office.

Pookie, has your dr. said that you should consider taking off work now or cutting back or more "couch potato rest" or anything?  Mine hasn't said it yet but I go in to for a routine appt. on Thursday and I'm going to give her an earful of complaints.  I'm just so miserable...

On a brighter note, congrats on making it this far, ladies!

Double the pleasure double the discomfort, I am so glad I don't have the heartburn this time around. The only thing I can complain about is that at night my arms and hands tend to go numb if I lay on my right my left, if I lay on left my right, no one has had that.

Ok, 34 weeks today and I would put EXACTLEY the same things down as you did, but add my hips are killing me when I try to sleep!  The heartburn is brutal!!   I just now got to the uncomfortable, miserable part of this whole pregnancy like 3 days ago...and now I am ready to meet him...but really, I just want him to be fully ready to come into this world :)  Oh, he is still hanging out with his head in my ribs....

I just couldn't imagine having twins!!! :)

I'm sorry you are feeling bad. I feel pretty sick with heartburn, bending over *****, and the sleeping thing has been a problem for me too. I can't imagine having twins. UG! I would be happy, but I can only imagine the discomfort you are feeling. I don’t think many of us could totally relate.  It’s right around the corner though sister. Hang in there. You are in my prayers.

my heartburn/acid reflux will also wake me up in the middle of the night 8 hours after i ate dinner - it is horrible!!!!!

make sure you drink lots of fluids to keep your amniotic fluid levels up...

I haven't been feeling incredilby uncomfortable but I have notice that in the last week I have been really really emotional.  Anything will make me cry.  Today I dropped clothes behind the dryer and that made me cry.

I also have to get up about 5 times a night to go to the bathroom.

I have acid reflux/heartburn terribly.  It will even wake me up during the night hours after I have ate anything.  I have had this heartburn though since about week 16.

I went to the doctor the other day and my amniotic fluid is low/borderline so now I have to go to the doctor every week for a NST.  I am very worried about the baby but the doctor says that I am measure right on track and it is good that I feel the baby move a lot.

How is everyone else?
