Had our first appt today and was not happy with the office. They did take blood but did not check for heartbeat or do ultrasound. Very business oriented... Not my kind of place. Going to keep looking for a new one.

If they just use the in office dobbler it may be too early to hear a heartbeat. But if you have an ultrasound the should be able to let you see it or hear it.

They will be taking blood (that's what there going to do at my first appointment on friday) they also can detect a heartbeat right now! You'll even be able to see your baby (: they might have to do a vaginal ultrasound since your still in the first trimester but trust me it will be a miraculous experience. The blood taking part might make you weak but its to make sure your healthy for the baby and to find out if you have any virus or infection that can hurt you and the baby
