Finally figured it out

I am 8 weeks today... And after nearly 2 weeks of feeling nauseous (without vomiting), dizzy, having headaches and major fatigue.... I finally figured out the best way to describe how I feel to my husband, who just doesn't understand when I spout off symptoms.  I feel hungover.  Legit.  I feel like I had WAY WAY WAY too much to drink the night before and loud noises and bright lights irritate my headache and I feel like the room is spinning and I actually want to puke because I am convinced I will feel better if I do.  Oh, and just like a hangover, the smell/taste/concept of food ... Ugh.

And my husband gets it now!  When he asks me how I feel, I say I feel hungover and he just gets it.  I'm not trying to say my husband lacks sympathy, but I guess I never really understood "morning sickness" either until I myself became pregnant.  I always thought it was waking up, going about your day and suddenly throwing up (like in the movies) and going "Oh boy.  I'm pregnant!". End of story. Boy do I know better now!

Anyone else struggle with explaining your symptoms to your SO?

That's how I've been describing it. Hungover. Only it doesn't end after you've sobered up for a day or two.
