Nervous about Induction

I know this is premature, but I am incredibly nervous about having to be induced and I feel like every day I get a little bit more nervous and anxious. I am due the 29th, and have made absolutely no progress. Doctor says he is pretty positive I will go over my due date by at least a week and if I don't go into labor on my own then they will have to induce. Is anyone else in the same position? I really wanted to have the most natural birthing experience possible and I am feeling as if that is all going to go down the drain..

Thank you so much! I hope you go into labor naturally, I will keep you in my thoughts! I want to have the most natural birthing experience possible as well. I hope it happens for us both. I will try not to worry- you as well! Chins up- our babies will be little angels. (:

Push to see if they'll let you go to 42 weeks before inducing if everything is okay with you and baby... I'm 41+1 and we will not schedule induction until after 42 weeks because I want to have every chance at a natural unmediated birth and there's nothing natural about pitocin! Progress is nothing to be too concerned about at this point because you could be a fingertip dilated and go into labor! Worrying won't help, but I know it's hard not to! Baby will get here one way or another and it won't matter so much how it happens! :)

Induction brings on contractions so mentally maybe you can better deal with it knowing what your trying to accomplish!

I completely understand, I'm right there with you. I got induced on my due date and it didn't work, baby would not come down. Monday I have to get induced again and if it fails I'll have to get a c section because I'll be 41 weeks. To me the first time I got induced it wasn't that bad. Although I was having contractions they were not that painful for me. Reason is because I wasn't processing to go into labor. I'm a tell you what a mommy on this apo told me. Relax and think about your beautiful baby don't think about the induction,  everything will be fine! You can do this!  Believe me !!!
