I am 38 weeks today! I am about a finger tip dialted And 50% effaced. I have been for a couple weeks. Usually my doctor would give the option of inducing at 39 weeks, but my doctor is going on vacation until the Day after my due date :( The doctor who is covering will not induce anothers patient unless medically needed... I am just so miserable from needing two fans and ac at night just to try to keep from throwing up from over heating. Sometimes even sleep with ice packs. I can hardly walk do to a hip condition I have, I can't sleep, I can hardly eat, and I just am in so much constant pain. I don't know how to make it through these next couple weeks :(
I feel your pain lol. I'm 37+3 and have RA in my hips and knees..I've been 4cm for about a week but I did gain 50% efacement. My OB stretched my cervix today...not sure if it did anything but makes me feel like it did, since I have even more pressure now.. he wrote me a letter for work and school for leave and offered me prescription sleep meds for my insomnia but I'm just going to use benadryl. I feel a lot better just having the stress of work and school pushed aside. Maybe you'll go into labor before your due date :)
feeling the same way. 38 weeks, 50% effaced & fingertip dilated. constantly in pain & sleep with 2 fans & occasionally ac. can't get comfortable or also at all.
Im 38w3d 100% effaced 1cm dilated! Cannot get my cervix to dilate at all. Been 1cm for 3wks! Induction day is 27th but i want to go in labor myself bc being induced hurts more! This is my 4th child and he has been in place for months and is ramming his head into my pelvis always! Im so done! But my doctor wont do anything till 27th. He even got smart with me yesterday after checking me bc i told him how bad it hurt- he said "well im sorry that it hurt but thats the same hole the whole baby is gotta come through and all i used was the tip of my finger"... like ugh, no duh- i knw where the baby comes from but it still hurts jerk! And i have had all my babies natural so i knw how painful it is!
At least I'm not the only one lol Hopefully we can all make it without losing our sanity in the last coming weeks!
