Just an update on bub and me

Hi all, i just thought it has been awhile since i have made an appearance on here.  I have been commenting on posts in the 21 -34 forum but haven't talked about myself in a while. So here i am, not much to report as i am currently in the honeymoon phase of pregnancy (second tri) where i am not too big to be uncomfortable and have also passed the ms stage.  I am back to walking everyday and am not as tired as i was in the first 14 weeks.  I have managed to avoid any colds latley (yay) and am currently enjoying spening time with my toddler.  As of my last ob appointment all was well with my little one - growing nicely and kicking constantly.  My weight is fine (have put on 3kg in whole pregnancy) and  my only complaint is i have quite dry skin (not sure how much is the cold, dry weather and how much is pregnancy) any way each night after a shower i turn into a slippery oiled up fish ha ha in an attempt to compat the dryness.
Will be starting work on the nursery in the next week so that will keep me busy and hopefully start to make things really real.
I hope all is well with everyone and their bubs and will update again soon (no doubt as the third tri closes in i will have much more to complain about lol).

I'm prepared for the very uncomfortable stage to come. I don't look forward to it but I know what to expect. I got really big with my first and it was quite miserable. I wouldn't trade it in for the world either. children are the greatest gift in the world. I never knew you could love someone so deeply, until I had my son. I'm having a scheduled c-section so I won't be comfortable again for awhile.

Not sure if easier is the right word for it ha ha - don't wish to alarm you but these little boys are only going to get bigger which means less room in there for all the other organs and things so breathing, eating and sleeping are not going to get easier, until the baby is out and then there is whole set of other issues to deal with.  But even with all of this i wouldn't change it for the world for once you see those little faces looking back at you it is all definatley worth it.  Thanks for the skin lotion tip.

Hey Ladies,

Glad to hear that all is well for the both of you. I'm going on 23 weeks and 3 days. Before we know it our little one's will be here. I tell you I wish that I was sailing smoothly through my pregnancy. I've got constant bladder infections, horrible heart burn, and can't sleep at all!!! I can't wait to have this little boy.The dry skin thing I too have but I asked my doctor and he told me to go and buy Nivea skin lotion, it works wonders. No more itchy skin, YEAH!!!!! Enough complaining out of me. I pray things will get easier.

Well we are the opposite, Horrible Winter and it is cold cold cold.  I can't wait for Summer and would dearly love to have a shower without hoping from the shower to the bedroom and then into my clothes and having all the heat on in the house.  Hope your nursery cleaning goes well, i think i will be leaving mine for another week as i am already exhausted with this one.

Do you know what you are having? Any ideas for the nursery?  I too am a bit reluctant to get started but know once i do it will be fine - just finding it hard to get started.  Glad to hear all is well with you and your bub and hope the dryness goes away soon also - bring on summer i say.

Good to hear that everything is going well.  Im in my second trimester as well and everything my way is going well too!  I also have the intense dryness and it bothers me so much!  But i deal i guess.  I am also getting ready to tackle this nursery too and i would say that would be keeping me busy as well.  I really just need to clean this room out and i just dont feel like doing it haha.  Ive been doing little by little for the past few weeks though!
