Anyone else having pains like this?

I am 36 weeks 3 days right now.  I have had pretty consistent BH contractions since about 16 weeks, but they are definitely getting more painful.  I had my check up yesterday and I mentioned to the Dr. that I have loads of pressure and I'm also having really bad sharp pains way low down in my pelvis.  When he palpated baby he said she's really low down, that the pressure and pain is normal.  I expected the pressure, but does anyone else have a low baby that's causing sharp shooting pains?  It feels like what I imagine it would feel like if someone was sticking a giant needle through my cervix. It's unbearable at times and brings tears to my eyes.

I've had the same things going on. I had to be in the hospital a total of 5 or 6 times to get my contractions stopped with medications and fluids, even though 2 times I wasn't dehydrated at all when they gave me fluids.

(I got fluids total of 3 times I think) anywayse.... my ctx were 2-5min apart each time and were getting closer and closer til I got the meds.

my dr's said they think I have an irritable uterus, and not to come in unless my contractions were so painful I couldn't walk or talk, EVEN if I had more than 6 in 1 hour.

it feels like someone has a bowling ball in my pelvis and sometimes feels like a foot or head or something is about to fall through! I'm 34w4d right now and all day and night (yesterday and tonight) I've had painful Ctx, wherease my ctx used to be a 1-2 on the pain scale they're now about a 4 or so. it feels like my muscles are being stretched beyond capacity when I contract OR like I have a giant charley horse in my stomach... OUCH

I feel sorry many of us had to experience those pain, but extremely happy I'm not the only one. I get sharp pain on my sides and my pelvis area. Someone had said it was lighting crouch (funny name) but thats how it feel. My right legs is almost useless. My sister said it sound like everything in my lower part are loose (what the mean, I dont know). I'm almost done 12/2/09 I will have my c section instead of Dec 20.

Hang in there ladies and at the end when we see our bundle of joy, all of those sickness would be worth it.

Congrats ahead

I've had horrible pains like that, too. And the bad part is my appointment was cancelled twice this week due to this nor'eastern storm. :( I also get HORRIBLE pains on the inside of my upper right thigh, radiating down to my ankle. It's unbearable at times. :(

I didnt have such pain so far. I am at 34w , my dr said going forward I might get sharp pain and it is common. Last week's checkup my dr said, my baby is low and hence I can expect lot of pain in pelvic area and lower abdomen.

Yeah, it's no fun.  I never even had pressure with DD, but I was induced with her, and she was still sitting pretty high up.  I hope it's just the way she's sitting and maybe she'll move a little and no one else has this problem!

Yikes...that sounds painful! I haven't had anything like that yet, but I'm about three weeks behind you. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing as the baby's getting settled further down.
