Thats strange you didnt get a pap in early pregnancy. most obgyns want you to have one if you havent already had a current one.

No ive never had a pap smear, i have never had a doctor check down there before so it makes me nervous for when they have to check for any reason.
My midwife told me that im gonna need a pap smear 6 weeks after the baby is born tho!

I am 35+5 and havent been checked either.  My next appointment will be at 37 weeks and Dr. said she will do a swab down there to check for bacteria (B strep or something like that), if the result is positive they will inject antobiotics at the time of delivery to protect the baby. Im not sure what else shes planning to do down there and pretty nervous about it too.

Lately I have been feeling as if the baby were scratching the inside of my vagina with her nails. I know thats quite unlikely but I wonder if it means i am starting to dilate?

You never had a pap smear?

I've never been checked for dilation but imagine it to be similar.

(Pap smears hurt me before i gave birth vaginally but have been painless ever since)
