More excited then daddy

Do any other mommies feel like the dad isn't as interested as the mommies are in the baby kicking and feeling the kicks?

I kind of understand how you feel. My husband didn't seem interested at all when I tried to get him involved  in choosing things for the baby or even talking about anything baby. As I got farther along he paid a little more attention, a couple times he came up and talked to and rubbed my belly, but no longer than a couple minutes. I think part of that was because the first time he put his face on my belly he got kicked in the cheek. But now that he knows the sex, he is going crazy with excitement, especially since it's his first boy. He has one daughter already and is so proud to be having a boy. Right now we have to be separated for the month and it's almost like now that I'm gone he cares, but I know that's not the case, it's still upsetting. Maybe the father will have the same thing going on. Once he finds out the sex he might be more involved.

My BF goes with me to appointments and I'm 24 weeks tomorrow, and he will feel the baby kick, but when it comes to talking about how we need to get more baby stuff ready and get the room set up he doesn't seem interested at all. And anytime I say something about the baby he just says K or Cool. Everytime I ask him about it though he just says he never has really been one to show much excitement in stuff with expressions and what not. Honestly, I think as time is getting closer all the men are getting scared and nervous

My babe was all sincere and cute with my first son being born he is ten months old now, but now I'm 23 weeks pregnant and it's like he could care less. :/ he doesn't go to my doc appointments with me or even ask how they went and he never acknowledges the baby moving or want to feel it.

My hubby is the same.  he will put his hand there for 2 seconds and then if he doesnt feel a kick right away he moves it. I swear though baby is just playing with him.  I'll get like 5 kicks in a row and then he will put his hand there to feel it and then baby stops and as soon as he lifts the hand off it starts again.
