Nursery

We have finally started Caidens Nursery! Talk about waiting til the last minute! (29 weeks preggo!). We just moved into our Condo this past weekend and right away got started on the Nursery. We finished all the paint and cleaned every single thing in his room! We only had a chance to set up one piece of furniture but were doing the rest on Wednesday...I just can't wait to see it all together! I posted some pictures of its progress...Enjoy!!

Thank you so much!!
We were very happy with the outcome of Caidens room so far! And believe me it was a lot of work! Looks so easy on HGTV right!? Ha Ha.
My body handled the work better than I thought, but I was still really sore. My arms were fine, but the bending over to get the paint definitely became difficult! I was finding myself getting sooo tired so easily! So I took breaks often but I did work hard! And our home is 3 floors so I was trying to avoid going up and down but I couldnt help it! So that night and the next morning I felt like I had worked out ALL day and my body was so sore! Hubby gave me a great rub down last night so today I feel much better but yes I was pretty sore!
Thank god most of the painting in the house is done!

We used Behr Latex Water Based Paint....we got a gallon each of blue and green paint for Caidens room and it was plenty! We even did 2 coats and still have some left over and his room is pretty big. Were setting up the crib and dressor this weekend and than my first shower is Nov 30th and my second is Dec 17th so thats when we'll get all the fun stuff and we can accesorize!! :) But were happy with the progress, one thing at a time!

You should post pictures of your little girls room, I'd love to see it! I promise to keep updating with pics! :)

Your pictures are great!! You guys look so happy!

Tell me, where you totally sore from painting? I painted our daughters room this weekend, just white because I couldnt find a shade of pink I wanted...and I was so so so sore.....my right arm from rolling is sore and my back is killing me from bending over to roll the brush in the tray! It took so long to do and the room isnt even that big!

I used FreshAire paint, (VOC free), and you go through that way quicker because I used a whole gallon for a small room! It was gone by the time i was done..literally, scraped the inside of the gallon w/ a paint brush!

The nursery looks great! Love the changing table!
I have had my nursery furniture since before I was pregnant!!! I found a good deal and couldnt pass it up knowing we were trying to start a family. I had it together when I found out I was pregnant the first time around (and I had only been pregnant for 2 days)!!

So, our little girl's nursery is done besides the accents, little things here and there. I want to find a shelf and some odds and ends to put on the walls.

Keep us updated on the nursery progress! We all love pictures!
