Baby gets hiccups atleast twice a day lately

Is this normal for my little girls to be getting hiccups this often this past week? I don't remember my son having them like this. What causes them?

my son gets them several times a day. I dont think it has anythingto dowith whether its a boyor girl. My dr said it is not exercising their lungs as they are not fully developed yet and they dont use them. They dont really know why they get them, they just do! I love it!!

It feels like a tiny kick, repetitively every second or two for awhile. Almost like a muscle spasm.

I don't really eat enything spicy at all anymore with this pregnancy. I actually eat extremely healthy. Well I guess I won't worry so much anymore now I know many of you have the same thing going on. Maybe it has to do with being a girl...they hiccup more? Thanx for the repies...I feel much better.

I was going to say, when I was prego with my twin girls, thye hisccuped all the time :)  I'm feeling it often with this one as well. It doesn't do anything to harm them, it's just something that happens naturally!!  I love it!!!

I've noticed mine having hiccups once or twice a day lately, I also wondered if it was normal....does it help excercise their lungs or diaphragm or anything? I think it's so cute!

Eating spicy foods causes your baby to hiccup (amongst other things), could it be that?
