Woohoo!!

I'm sure at least a few of you will know what I mean when I say that I am excited and relieved to see my BMI go back into the normal range. We all are very aware of when our bodies are bigger than we would like, but seeing yourself described as overweight creates a brand new level of depressing!

How is everyone else going with their weight loss?

How much have you ladies lost, and how much have you got to go?

The day before I gave birth I weighed 88.5kg/194.7 pounds and now I weigh 68.9kg/151.6 pounds.
That means for me I still need to loose another 8-10kg/17.6-22 pounds for me to be happy with my weight. (which will still be a few kgs heavier than when I started)

I'm not to sure that I will make it though.. Am planning on getting pregnant again next month. I will be a bit sad to see the scales climb again after all the effort I've put in. Hopefully it will help me to slow down the weight gain and not put so much on this time. (fingers crossed!)

I was 100 pounds pre-pregnancy....and about 3-4 weeks after I delivered I was back down to 100 pounds. Currently, I actually weigh less than that! I've been so busy with moving...trying to get things done, chasing Caiden around that I've lost more weight! Not good since 100 pounds is thin as it is! And Caiden weighs a good 23 pounds, so let me tell you, I am one buff Momma! I'm hoping within the next month or so, things with slow down here and I can start taking better care of myself...I'm getting way too thin!
However, I've never had a weight problem and I know so many tricks to eating good without feeling like your suffering and I know the right things to do for exercise to loose weight and tone up. I've always been super fit, so if anyone wants any advice or tips, feel free to message me!

Hi,

if you're having such a problem with the IUD maybe you should have it removed.

Or maybe it's not the IUD.  Have you seen a physio or a chiropractor to see if there is anything structural happening that can be fixed.  Don't just put up with it, because the pain causes imbalance and weakness which is a vicious circle.

I was 180 when I got pregnant with Myra (was still breastfeeding the twins when I got preggo).  So I couldn't lose much weight because they recommended I take in 1400 more calories to make enough milk for the twins.
Anyways, I think I got up to 204 when I delivered Myra.  After the water water retention and everything else, I lost 10 pounds right there.
I'm still breastfeeding and tend to gain weight or stay the same since I have to build up my milk.  Right now I'm 180 and would love to lose 40 pounds...but it was always my goal since having my son.  I just keep popping out babies and breastfeeding for 2 years at a time.

Only think is, I can't do ANYTHING.  DH and I don't even have time for ourselves, so for me to exercise it tough.  I can't do it here because the kids always run around and I'm too busy during the day with 4 kids.

Since having my IUD (6 months now), my back is really messed up.  I didn't feel like this when I had Myra.  My back hurts SO bad at times, I can't even walk and I scream from the pain, falling to the floor on my knees.  I'm only 25 and I feel like I'm 60!!  Walking around with a hunched back, just so I can do dishes or something.

well  weight loss  has always  been a battle  for me  even before getting  preggo. since having mckenna  i am  back  down to  preg pregnacy pants  but i am  still not where i  want to be . I  exercise  walk everyday with my two youngest in the  stroller.  ( my oldest is in second  grade and  school is a good  walk on a nice day  about 1/2 mile each way ). I figured  as long as  i am healthy  and happy  with where i am then  i  should be  fine. but i would  still like to loose another  40  punds or  so  but that has always been  me lol

hahaha!  yes,  I am with you on the arms!  Michaela only weights 19 lbs, but my arms are in better shape than they've been for years from constant weight lifting with her! :)

One reason why your weight loss is slow may be the exercise. You are creating muscle and burning fat. The tricky part is not getting depressed about the lack of movement on the scales.

Muscle weighs 3 times as much as fat! What is important is how you look, not how much you weigh. If you exercise you will start looking better earlier than you see the results on the scales..

I was 148 before getting pregnant and tipped the scales at 200 when I delivered (on a 5'2" frame that isn't good, lol).  But I had mild preeclampisa and severe swelling, which would explain the 28 pound weight loss I had at my 2 week post partum check up! LOL.  I am now about 158, so I have 10lbs to go.  I work out about 2-3 times a week, which has helped my pant size go down but I still maintain the same weight.  The thing I hate, is that I was 161 at my 6 week post patrum check up - so even though my pant size is going down my weight isn't.  Weight really doesnt matter to me, but I don't like knowing I weigh 158.  I just recently really started to be strict with my food intake.  For a while I gave myself too many excuses and now it is time to buckle down, because I made a realistic goal of getting down to my prepregnancy weight (or pants) by the time Mikayla is 1.  I'm not too upset with my size because i don't feel like I look pregnant anymore, but I just need to lose some more inches in the waist area.  Lifting my 23lb baby seems to help with my arms though!!

Oh yes!  But I'm not doing so well on the weight loss front.  I weighed about 170 lbs when i got pregnant.  Went down to 160 when I was sick at the end of 1st trimester and was 195 when i delivered M.  Currently am stuck at 180 lbs.

Hate this.  It's my own fault for eating too much.  And breastfeeding M doesn't seem to help the weight loss, rather it just stimulates my appetite.  Have been exercising, but really it does come down to my diet.

Contrats to Atlantisea and Leianne on your weight.

I too will start trying to get pregnant again next month....... :)  Not happy about the weight, but figure need to keep trying already.

OMG i hear you.  I am less than i was before i got pregnant now.  When i got pregnant i was like 175lbs, the day i gave birth i was 221lbs due to the preclampsia water weight.

I am now 167lbs.  i want to lose a little more but at least i can wear all my pre pre pregnancy clothes and shop back in normal stores like express and not lane byrant.  I lost all of it because of stress and lost it fast but i have been keeping it off the healthy way now.

good job atlantisea with your weight loss.
