Scary night Thursday...

So Thursday I was so tired after cooking dinner I laid down to sleep early. I woke up around 11:30 or so with contractions. Now I  have been having the here and there, but these were pretty consistant. I got up to pee and walked around a little, changed positions, and they didn't go away. I even took a hot/warm bath to relax and they were coming often. I counted them like every 7 min or so. We called the Dr and of course they had me go to the hospital L&D. When they got meon the monitor the contractions were every 3 min. They weren't horribly strong, but they were there and I could feel them along with a lot of pressue... So they gave me a lot of fluid (even though they said I wasn't dehydrated) and a shot of terbutaline. The contractions stopped for like an hour but then came back. They gave me another shot and a pill called procardia. It worked. I was sent home in the morning with a Rx for procardia which I now have to take every 6 hrs till I'm 36 weeks. I was so scared he was coming... So I'm back on strict bedrest most likely till I have him. I hope this medicine works and I don't have any more issues... Preterm labor is no fun!!

How scary, I feel the same as leighanne with the contractions. Glad they were able to stop them and I hope these last five weeks (+/-) go by quickly for you.

So glad you and baby boy are ok.  What a horrid experience, but great that all is under control.  Bad luck to be back on bed rest, though.... hang in there.  We're getting there...

How scary, glad they were able to stop the contraction. I guess your little guy is not very patient:)
Just take it easy, relax and stay off your feet before you know it, he will be here and keeping you on your feet all day.
Good Luck:)
