Was your 3d/4d Ultrasound worth it?

For the women who's doctors office do not perform 3d/4d ultrasounds at their office as a practice, and had to go find an office elsewhere to have it done, do you think the cost is worth it?
I was going to pass and not have one done until everyone started talking about it...and then it got me thinking, I really want one done. We have one location here that does them, its $150 out of pocket and I have my appt scheduled for November 28th at 1pm!

I dont know about 4d, but i just found out tha the last couple UL i had were 3D. I did not think they looked any diffrent from the other that i had done with my other kids. Baby still looks like and alien..I am having another one done tomorow the Dr requested 4D but she told me the hospital might refuse to do it. Keeping my fingures crossed

I haven't gone yet, but am considering it.

Was talking to my endocrinologist (whose wife is also pregnant and due about 4 days before me) a few days ago, and he said it's a wonderful experience.  Also he recommended to wait until about 32 weeks.  Said by then they will really look like babies vs if it's done earlier they don't have much body fat and still look very skeletal.

I went at 24 weeks and it was TOTALLY worth it!
For starters my gynae was sure it was a girl! And when we went for the 4D scan he was like ooops its a BOY! So it was worth it. Imagine I didnt change all the little pink things!! I live in South Africa and it cost us R950 which is about $95. Im going again at 27 weeks next week the 27th Nov at 2.15pm. I heard you can see the eyelashes even! WOW Im going again because my husband went last time and I want to take my mom too! Keep me updated as to how it goes, Im going the day before you, cant wait!!

yes it was an awesome experience!!  My husband and son are not allowed in the ultrasounds at the hospital....but this was a 52'' lat screen tv, and 30 mins worth of video taping...he was so cute!!  My pics are posted.  
I just would have waited until about 32 weeks....I saw the difference between the features of the 28 week vs the 32 week...in some examples she had...it is like you are really looking at the baby.  So if you have not gone yet...wait a couple more weeks

I am only getting this one though...Worth IT!!

i had one already for gender determinarion and i loved it.  i have the video of my little guy.  I have a second one set up for 12/6 to see his facial features.  If i get pregnant again in the future i would totally do it again.  I thought the experience was great and the staff at the place i went to was wonderful.
