baby hiccups

I think baby has been hiccuping a bunch!!!  :)  It feels like little rhythmic pulses.  At first I thought it was kicks, but then I figured out since there were several in a row, it must be hiccups.  :)

How many of you have been feeling lots of this?  :)

My boy was a hiccuper from about 5 months on.  My OB told me that the baby swallows some of the amniotic fluid and later "breathes" in the fluid, practicing for when they are born.

I don't know about you, but it's uncomfortable to hiccup, so I always rubbed my belly to soothe the baby, thinking that he was not liking those hiccups anymore than I do when they happen to me.

With my daughter, I do not remember many hiccups.

The hiccups are a sure sign that your baby is doing everything they are suppose to be doing in utero..maturing!  Enjoy...these are just some of the little things I loved about being pregnant.

Best Wishes and Happy Baby,
Heather

My son (1st baby) hiccuped a lot but I remember being aware of it from 30 weeks onwards. It was very cute until he was big enough that it kept me awake at night or woke me up! Sometimes it would go for up to 30 mins...
