Fell Down the Stairs this Morning

Well, DH was up at 430 getting ready for work and was in the bathroom so I was going downstairs to get some tissues because I was all stuffed up...and I dont know what happened, but my feet came out from under me and I fell down about 6 stairs, on my butt. Rug burn on my elbows from trying to stop myself and I am sure I am going to have a nice bruise on my A** and its going to hurt like hell. Dont think I did any damage but just incase I am going to call the doc and let them know.
I couldnt move for like 5 minutes because it stung so bad!!!

Any of you ladies have any of these occurences yet?

Just got back from the hospital. Doc sent me over for monitoring to make sure the baby was okay, which i thought was odd bc I wasnt bleeding or leaking fluid.

Baby is absolutely fine..More than fine..the little princess wouldnt stay still while I had an ultrasound. Got a full OB u/s finding all babies parts, fluid check, placenta check, all good. NST test came back perfectly normal. Have to go in for a follow up appt tomorrow in the office just to check on things, but all is well!

I am def going to be sore. I have some rug burn on my elbows and I can already feel the extremely large bruise forming on my buttocks!!! I am going to be one sore momma and I have an 8 month old to tend to! ahh.....

Hope you are feeling ok. What did the docs office say?  I feel down a flight of 14 stairs close to my 2nd trimester. Baby was fine but I was very sore for a week and had a lot of bruises and rug burns.

Yea, I put a call in to the dcctor. Whats weird, is i feel movement here and there, but even since I fell that is all I can feel...constant movement. makes me wonder if everything is okay. So, going to wait til they call me back!

My cousin did this and actually broke her water.  She was a couple weeks shy of full term though.  I would get checked out Hun.  Just to see the baby, or hear the heart beat to make sure everything is ok.  I know they say if you get you belly bumped it's ok because of the abdominal wall and the water, but not sure what they'll do if you fall down the stairs.  Thinking of you and hope everything is ok.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that.  I hope that everything is fine.  I have not fallen recently but when i was approx 13 weeks i fell down my front steps (5 marble steps) in the rain.  and I was in a car accident a month ago.  and everything is fine.  I wish the best for you.  This is my first pregnancy and I am surely learning that our bodies are made to withstand lots and lots of mishaps to ensure that our little ones are protected.  Keep us posted.  :-)
