Iv got a range of clothes but it still does my head in thinking about it. They say u need singlets but I have more short sleeved short leg onesies then I care to admit So I'm thinking bugger the singlets ill stick to the onesies
To be honest I haven't bought any clothes for my baby, family and friends bought lots of them as a gift. I just need to check at the end of Jan what other essential clothes I need to get. Yeah and it all depends on weather.
I know what you mean! You look in a Babys r us magazine or Wal-Mart and they make you think you need EVERYTHING!! This is my first baby but I have gave this very topic a lot of thought. Buying second hand cloths and stuff is just fine, it saves you money and as long as the stuff still looks nice then I believe it deserves a second chance lol. For me, it was just easier to go to Wal-Mart once a week when my husband got paid and spend about $50 each time. At Wal-Mart they have full set outfits for only $10, and onesies for pretty cheap. Also you don't need a whole crap load of cloths for each size range. We bought about 7 outfits in every age except Newborn and in Newborn we have 2 outfits and 6 onesies. Best thing to do is think about what the weather will be like when he/she is in that size and go from there. Diaper Genies I hear are a waste of money and I can see how that would be true. They are good for awhile then you have to buy refills.. in the end you just end up throwing diaper in the trash like every other person in the world. I have came to terms myself that those boppy pillows are just a want and not a need. If you have extra money and want one of those, then by all means I am sure they will make life a little easier. For though, I cant find a nice boppy pillow I like anyways, and all the ones I see are at least 35 dollars and I am not about to spend that kind of money on a curved pillow.. I will just use a regular pillow! I have also heard that wipe warmers are a waste of money. You wont have your wipe warmer when you are out and about so baby has to get cold wipes anyways so why not just let he/she get use to it? The things we have that we came to the conclusion that were worth our money was basically just the basics. Baby cloths, bath tub, soaps, lotions, desitine, grooming kit, diaper bag, bassinet, blankets, car seat, stroller, diapers, wipes, alcohol pads, baby thermometer, nail clippers, baby tylonol, baby q tips, bottles, pacifiers, bouncer, dresser, those kinds of things. Good luck.. I know it can be a head ache!!
I got pretty much everything second hand. Just brought a normal chest of drawers the right height of a changer so i can use it afterwards. Only need to get nursing bras and a travel system now
