I had my daughter last week at 41 weeks 2 days. I had to be induced. I don't think she would've ever come out lol

41 weeks tomorrow .. May be induced . :( I'm so scared ...
I'm 41 weeks today and still waiting. Induction will be set for 42 weeks but I'm trying everything to get baby out before then. Today I will be trying acupuncture for the 1st time ever. My midwife said it was the most effective way to get labor started after 40 weeks. We shall see....
Yes trying everything too.. will go in for cervadil tonorrow night and pit drip next morning I am so bummed, I did everything I could to avoid induction
I'm still here too! 41 weeks today. I even gave up and went in to be induced and it didn't work! I was on pit for 6 hours and no cervical change. They wanted to break my water next but I felt too tired already so I left. Now I'm back home with a start and stop labor.
Induction isn't terrible ! It can be a great experience. I wa induced and I'd be induced again in a heart beat. I was able to deliver vaginally with no pain medication. Very quickly too. Don't be bummed mama's. I know it's not always great but it can be
I agree with proundmommytobe. Induction isn't the worst thing and maybe all you need is like 2mg pitocin for 30 min and you just go on your own. They will watch you closely and monitor your baby carefully and not turn it up too high. Sometimes you just need a little something to make a change for baby to come out. I'm trying my best to have a natural birth at home but I'm glad I have options and there is help if I need it. I hope everyone has a safe and healthy birth, no matter what that looks like.
Proudmommytobe idk if I can handle the pit without the epidural... congratulations on your new baby and doing that, that's amazing! I had it with my first, and I'm already getting back cramps with my little contractions. Imaslice did they give you a cervix ripener!? You and I must have wombs like thrones.
Jaloveslorelei Everyone is different for sure! I'm already dilated to 5cm and 70% effaced at my last check 2 days ago so no, they didn't have to. I did a pitocin induced birth with my first and no epidural also. I suppose I'm also so really done with being pregnant, I'm not fearful of the pains, I've been welcoming them like a much awaited guest!! Lol Dang, our wombs must be super cozy and baby is getting everything they need in there. #laugh #cry #laugh
Oh wow you are really ready, I can't beleive the pitocin didn't work!? I guess baby has a different birthday in mind : ) that's what I was thinking about them getting everything they need... should I stop drinking smoothies and taking prenatals so it's not as hospitable? Lol. Looking forward to hearing your birth story!
I really really really can't believe it didn't work either. Had I had them break my water, I'm sure I'd have a baby by now but I just didn't feel ready. I haven't stopping the prenatals but I ate a whole box of girl scout cookies and had a glass of wine yesterday! And it was so good! Can't wait to hear your happy ending too!
