pre-eclampsia???

I went to the hospital last night because I was cramping. Turns out I was not in labor, but my BP was high. After testing for pre-eclampsia, they sent me home and told me to do at home testing since my BP was not too bad and the tests came back OK. They will test more tomorrow to determine what needs to be done. This is the first time ever that my BP was off. Any of you ladies ever have issues with pre-eclampsia or something similar to this? I'm OK with being induced, but this waiting to see makes me nervous.

I was in my non stress test Wednesday and they had me go to L&D to be monitored because my blood pressure was high. I was having contractions strong and long.  I was admitted and told they were going to break my water... I'm 3 cms and 100% effaced but because I'm not 39 weeks yet they won't induce and since I wasn't progressing any further They discharged me 9 hours later telling me I tested negative for preeclampsia. My feet are swollen and tingly my hands too. I'm cramping at home and very uncomfortable. I'm 37 weeks 5 days now.  My next stress test is this coming Wednesday along with my 38 week check up. What should tell them when I go in or what she I watch out for between now and my next appointment?

Hi ladies. I went to the doctors on Monday and my bp kept getting higher so we decided to go ahead and induce. I had my baby boy on Tuesday,  January 27th at 1:41 pm. He weighed 6lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. I was kept in the high risk unit in maternity on bed rest until I was on medicine for 24 hours to treat pre-eclampsia. I appreciate everyone's help and advice on this post and wish all of you ladies the best of luck!

That's good to know Shelby! I'm at my doctor's appointment now. I'm hoping they at least keep me out of work from now on. But my doctors office is weird about that as well so that worries me since I have a very physically and mentally stressful job! I hope everything works out for you!

I've been going through this for 3 weeks now. Horrible headaches high blood pressure but all other tests are fine. I've had an ultrasound done every week for the last 3 weeks and will continue to have one done weekly until baby arrives.  I'll be 37 weeks Tuesday. Doctor is wanting to induce between 38 and 39 weeks.
