Spotting at 6weeks

im 6 weeks and all day I've been spotting. Is this normal? No cramping or pains at all. This is my first child so I'm not familiar with the norms or abnormalities. Every time I use the restroom and wipe there is always a pink film

I'm about 6 weeks as well and all last week I had been spotting. I told my doctor right away and had to do blood tests every 48 hours. My hormone levels weren't increasing the way they wanted them to so we went ahead and did an ultrasound. Thankfully we saw the baby and a heartbeat. Always tell your doctor if you hadn't already done so, and if something doesn't feel right keep telling your doctor. Pay attention to amount and color and be descriptive when talking to your doctor about it. Good luck hun and congratulations on your first baby!

The common thing that people are going to tell you is that spotting and light bleeding is normal during pregnancy. While this is fine with implantation bleeding, there are times when you need to be concerned.

I too had spotting early on in a pregnancy and I was told everything was fine, and that it was normal, as I got further and the spotting didnt stop, I found that there was a tiny sac of blood between my uterus and my placenta and that the blood sac was just releasing. In the end the pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. They call it threatened miscarriage if there is spotting, but everything else checks out fine. I am not saying that you should be terribly worried. But you should be cautious and let your doctor know that you are spotting. If it continues especially ask to be seen. I also found out that it could be from low progesterone levels which don't let the placenta latch to the uterus.
