Does anyone just "know"

So most of us dont know the sex yet, but I am wondering if anyone has a strong idea about it.  DH and I arent finding out the sex, but we are both pretty sure it is a boy.  Does anyone else feel a little voice or instinct telling them the sex of their baby(ies)??

BTW:  Im wondering where the "burst of energy" is that I am supposed to be feeling in the second trimester, all the books say that the second trimester is like a second wind. I have yet to see it, in fact, I just as exhausted now as I was in the first trimester. Anyone else missing the 'honeymoon' trimester?

I have felt from the beginning that we were having a girl and DH says a boy. We have a bet going.  If I am right, he has to go and get a manipedi with me at the spa!  HA! If he is right, I have to go on a carriage ride with him on vacation next year.  (I have an unfounded dislike of horse carriage rides...if you ever saw the Seinfeld epsiode with the horse carriage, you might understand where I am coming from. I can't defend it, I just do not have any desire to do that.  oh well...)

And yes, I have totally missed the bus for the honeymoon phase of pg.  I thought I was the only one!  I would say I might have a tad more energy but between the every other day headaches, backaches, bad taste in my mouth after eating and when I do eat, the horriable bloated feeling afterwards...yes, there is no honeymoon phase happening at our house at this time! And I agree with Cheesecake...all of the above just reminds me that the baby is pushing right along and that makes me happy and its totally worth it!

I wouldnt worry about feeling good, be happy girl!   Everything that I have read says that it is normal to feel better around now.  I feel yucky, yes, but I have had a doozy of a pregnancy so far, not that I would change a thing because my baby is doing great!  Anyway, there are a lot of women on here that are doing quite well, and I think that is the norm, feeling yucky still is the exception.

I want a girl, but lately I have been dreaming I am having a boy.  When I first found out I was pregnant I had acouple of dreams that I was having a girl, so I don't know what to think.  Luckily, the past couple of weeks I have had a lot more energy and less symptoms.  There have been days I forget I am pregnant, hehe. I feel that makes me lucky but at the same time I wonder if thats normal or should I ask my doctor if something could be wrong. I hope you feel better soon. Let us know.

It will be interesting to see how much stock can be put into "mother's intuition."  You would think that we would have some kind of advantage in guessing the sex....  we will see.  At least most all of us (that are finding out) will know in the next month!

I read that the honeymoon trimester begins after the placenta has taken over full responsibilities. This usually happens around 20 weeks. So, hopefully we will all start feeling better in the next month. My next doc appt is August 25th. We have the anatomy scan scheduled for then. With my first child, DD, I was very very sick the entire pregnancy. This time I only get sick in the afternoon. But they say every pregnancy is different. Personally, I am thinking it is a boy, but that may be because that is what I want. So here goes the countdown T-Minus 26 days until G-Day...

I feel better in my second trimester so far, but I certainly would NOT say I have had a "burst" of energy. I am still really tired..

As far as a gut feeling w/ the sex.. I am wishing for a boy, but have a feeling it's a girl?!
As long as the baby is healthy, I will be happy, but I have 2 sisters and 5 nieces.. NO BOYS! I think it would be great to have a boy, but if it's a girl, I am probably better prepared due to the fact that my family is all women! =)

I have my next u/s next THURSDAY!! I am hoping they can tell me the sex then?!

i also feel the same way as far as that second wind goes, i think its b/c we've all hit that mark with the summer months and it makes it all a bit harder!

i dont know if i have a strong 'inkling' its a girl or if im just hoping it is so badly! either way im sticking to girl until im told other wise!!!

I am hoping for a girl but am having the feeling it will be a boy. Not sure if I am thinking that on purpose to prepare myself for a boy just incase or not..  I will be happy either way, but if I could pick, I'd want a little girl. :)

I also read many places where they claim that if you have severe nausia during pregnancy than chances are the baby will be a girl; a boy if there isn't much morning sickness/nausia.  I know most boy/girl scenario's are old wives tales but this one has claimed to be statistically proven. A few of my friends claimed the opposite so maybe they are the minority. Because of that theory though, I think I am having a boy :)

I am in the same boat.  Dh wants a surprise baby but we both have a feeling it's a boy.  I guess there is a 50% chance we are right!  :)
