Fainting....

Okay, so I told you all that I nearly fainted yesterday and I thought it was lack of water........Well it happened again today at nearly the same time and I had been drinking more today. It must have been enough because I was having to leave my kids to pee :) The time it happens is in the last unit before school ends and our lunchtime is the hour before.
I was worried and I rang my midwife and she said it could be:

1. Not enough calories for extra energy I am using - Have got some slow release carb snacks for tomorrow to keep my blood sugar up like she said.
I had just eaten my lunch about ten minutes before this happen thoguh.
2. Support belt tightening because lunch is in my tummy at that time so I'm bigger - it did not feel uncomfortable but I will loosen it after lunch tomorrow
3. Sitting down too much - Have been teaching off of my *** but walk regularly to loo and prep room a few doors down
4. Vasovagal Syncope - caused by straining to pee, poo cough - not doing any of those in my lesson LOL but thought maybe the babies were near my vagal nerve???
I have had a poo (sorry TMI) at 4pm both days with cramps just before (normal for me) but this is an hour after it happens and I asked if it could be this. She said preparing to poo lowers your blood pressure so could be. if it is this, how on Earth can I do anything about it, can't force myself to poo when it's not ready!!

Bloo pressure is fine has been 100/60 since I got pregnant until Monday when it was 121/73 (had a bit of stress on way to Docs) My lab tech took it yesterday after school about 15 minutes after my dizzy spell and it was 111/73. All of these are healthy so it's not my BP.

Obviously will try 1-4 but have any of you ladies any suggestions or have you had this????

I take iron supplements so I know this is fine. I ate cereal bars and dried fruit all day Thursday and Friday and was fine, no fainting so it must have been low blood sugar. Also I have noticed I have not gained any weight in the last week so my calorie intake is down. I am doing a diary now to make sure I get 3100 a day (this was the average of all the figures quoted in my twin books)

I fainted a little earlier in my pregnancy around 11 weeks.  The doctor said it was probably from dehydration, low blood sugar or standing for too long.   It only happened once, but it was definitely scary.  Good luck with everything.

Make sure you aren't standing up too fast and that you aren't sleeping on your back at night. Anemia is a good one that is sometimes overloooked so definitely ask your mid-wife if she can check your iron levels.

Im sorry to hear that things are not going smoothly for you. Unfortunatly I dont have much advice for you, I havent experienced this.  I would definatly try more snacking, and the slow release carbs sound like a good idea.  I hope that things resolve for you so that things can be a little more smooth for you.
