Anyones large bellies interfereing w/ their sex lives??

We used to have a pretty regular sex life and now I don't think we've done it in several weeks mainly cuz it is such an ordeal to find the right position, most of which I don't enjoy. I am ususally constipated too which does little to set the mood right and altho DH is usually interested in giving it a go, he too seems reluctant to put in the effort lately.  I was feeling kinda bad about this like I was unattractive to him (overly sensative emotions) but I totally understand cuz I'd rather have a foot rub thans sex these days. I'm thinking maybe we should put more effort into it since intamacy is important, even if it doesn't result in an earth shattering O for me, since after baby is born it will be less frequant.  I'll be more tired, not to mention sore.  Can't have sex for up to 6 weks after I hear, not that you'd want to.  I was just wondering am I the only one in this boat???

Mine has drastically decreased. I am happy to report that we have been married for quite a while and would have sex at least once every 2-3 days. Right now, we are down to about once every week to week and a half. I am sure that DH wants to have sex, but he is afraid that something bad will happen with all the problems with the placenta and occasional spotting. Doc hasn't put me on pelvic rest, but DH doesn't want to do anything to hurt me. I find doggy style with pillows under my chest is the best position right now. When we do have sex, it is usually initiated by me. And honestly, as fat as I feel with all the water retention and the extra frontal girth, I'm just not feeling sexy and therefore not feeling too sexual.

mine's outta the window now a days. Its down to once a month or more and that too only if I initiate. I rarely do cos of my big belly and the pelvic pain (besides the other pains) I have( apparently one of the twins is head down causing it). U r not alone :)

Guys, you should not complain!!!  I have been on pelvic rest this entire pregnancy because of bleeding I had during my first trimester.  Poor dh!!

Nikko,
I also had some bleeding due to early placenta previa in the second trimester and my ob put me on pelvic rest for that as well (although I was already on it due to my hematoma).  Ask your dr if bd is safe for you these days.

I have had the same problem as helen72, I have been on pelvic rest since I was 7 weeks pregnant, and now I am 30 weeks, that means 23 weeks in total, so you are considered lucky......

I miss having sex with DH like we used to, about every 2 days on average.  Now its about once a week and its usually on the weekend.  However, after this last time, i don't know how much more we will have, its just getting harder to get myself in a comfortable position.  Not to mention, I have harldly any sex drive and since I feel her moving more now, it doesn't exactly put me in the mood when I can feel her as we get started.

I know Im lucky for one, DH still finds me so attractive and for two, that we have been able to so far into my pg.  :)

I am 31 weeks this week and for the past few weeks I have noticed my sex drive decrease. I have been sometimes having slight cramping and pressure (dr says is normal) so sex is not very satisfying. But, like most of you I do feel bad for DH. He also still finds me attractive and beautiful. It's just hard when you feel like a whale and you get tired very easily. It sometimes just doesn't feel worth it. :(

I feel like I need to try to satisfy him b/c after the baby is born it will be at least 6 weeks.

My sex drive has also decreased:(  We might have sex once every two or three weeks. I feel so bad for dh. If we do have sex, I initiate it because I feel like I'm in the mood and then, I end up being "dry as the sahara" which just ruins it for me. I'm with nikko though and doggy style seems to be the most comfortable for me.
