Reflux

I am officially having reflux on a constant basis. I think this is by far my least favorite pregnancy symptom. Last night I was so exhausted and just wanted to curl up in my usual position. But, nope. That was happening. Every time my head hit the pillow I would feel all of my dinner coming up in my throat.

I never had reflux before pregnancy. In fact, I never even ate a Tums till last night.

I'm drinking some cranberry juice right now and even that is making me have reflux. Oi vey!

Hmm i'll have to try that if mine gets bad again. Never heard of using papaya extract. Luckily mines gotten ALOT better, i think the baby is dropping, the nurse that i'm friends with at my OB commented on how much lower my belly looked at my last appointment not to mention breathing has become alot easier.

My midwife recommended papaya extract. I haven't bought it yet but I'm willing to try it.

Ugh, I hate it, too!  The burning in my throat gets so unbearable sometimes.  Doc said Zantac pills were okay, and they work somewhat.  Probably not as well as the chew tabs, but I think the chalkiness would make me nauseated ;oP  Definitely looking forward to the reflux ending when baby comes!!

I have it soooo bad too!  Woke up choking on my own vomit the other night!  Hang in there... it's amazing how when bub is born all these symptoms immediately disappear!! Not long now :)

I had reflux all day yesterday. I was trying to get the baby stuff ready and I kept feeling breakfast and lunch in my throat. Lovely!

I hear ya on the heartburn reflux problem. DH graced me with making dinner last night, and he made red enchiladas, which were soo good, and wow did I pay for it last night. every time I rolled over I could feel it in the back of my throat, ick! I haven't taken anything for it yet, I keep telling myself to just tough it out, mainly because, like you, I've never had tums or anything before, they look like chalk lol. I'm told that drinking milk before bed helps, or putting a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of water will rid your stomach of the excessive acid, but I have yet to try it.

I find myself thinking about that old wives tale "The more severe the heartburn, the more hair your baby will have" and can't help but laugh. DH is a fuzzy man, thick black curly hair, beard, the works lol, so I'm sure in MY case, this little one is going look like a monkey! :0)

I am gettting heartburn nightly now. It usually wakes me up or I notice when I get up to use the bathroom.  I keep a big bottle of tums next to my bed.  When I was pregnant with my first even water gave me heartburn. it was horrible.  I notice I only get it if I eat to late.

Oh yeah for me since about 30-32 weeks i've had horrible reflux and heartburn and i never did before. Tums have been my best friend lately. I used to be able to eat anything i wanted and now even my one cup of coffee in the morning gives me reflux and heartburn. almost any kind of juice, pizza(which i loooove lol) anything with any kind of acidity makes it horrible. were almost there though!
