Has anyone packed there bags yet? Im 36 an 3days and started a couple weeks ago, but not sure what all ill need. It seems so close and so far away at the same time, and im tryin to just get it done and stop procrastinating before its time an im not prepared!.... Im a ftm..:)
Ive started packing my bag... so far ive got a towel, breast pads, maternity pads and disposable knickers..... babies bag is packed... i need to put clothes in my bag and get food for my fella. Im 36 weeks + 1 day today
If you want pack a couple of days worth of clothing that's comfortable for you or a robe so you're not having to wear hospital clothing, slippers are also good, or socks so you're not walking around the cold floor, underwear that you don't mind ruining, and pretty loose, pads that are long and thick that will be comfortable for you (hospital ones SUCK), if you plan on nursing, nursing bras/tank top, nursing pillow, breast pads, cream, charger, makeup/hair stuff (you'll be getting pictures taken left and right..trust me I regret this not having them last time hahah), travel pack shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, tooth paste, tooth brush, soap, hair tyes (hospitals carry these sometimes, but my last actually only left body wash so I had to use it in my hair for 3 days..yuck!) fiber snacks (usually you have to have your first BM in the hospital and it friggen hurts pushing, this makes it easier), medicine if you take any, I'd continue prenatals so you don't get drained right after, especially breast feeding, your own pillow if you're particular, and camera and extra batteries. That's my list so far.. probably will end up adding to it!
Oh and of course anything to make your labor easier, I'm having a c-section so I won't need music, a bouncing ball, etc. If you're bringing things because you think you'll be bored, don't bother, once baby is here you won't be bored at all!
There are check lists available online to print and ensure you don't forget anything for you or baby. I'm 34 weeks and I just packed my diaper bag. I haven't started mine yet though.. I have to say the checklists helps a lot and keeps you calm knowing you won't forget anything. Good luck everyone!!
