First Time Mom with no clue what to do

Hello, I'm 34 weeks along now, &I can honestly say the closer I get to my due date the more afraid I get :\ I be reading some of these articles &learn a lot I did not know. For example, I just learned that I'm not suppose to bathe my baby right away, just sponge baths until his umbilical cord falls off. I have OCD, so I know for a fact I would've taken him straight home to bathe him, if I didn't find that out. So I really need help with what to do/what not to do when he first gets here. Any comment will help. Please &thank you

Use bottled water to mix with formula due to toxic something. I forget, and I forget how long to do that for. I remember at some point I switched to reg. tap water. I was just thinking that the other day. I wanted to look into that incase I'm not able to breastfeed again.

With my first, I didn't realize the importance of burping your baby after feeding milk; especially the initial weeks when you feed every hour. In the third week my son had developed colic with gas in his belly. So do take some extra time to burp your child after feeding.

In all honesty you can give baby a sponge bath just a little water and don't get the umbilical cord wet or if you do dry it extremely carefully. Don't use a lot of lotion on baby, don't freak out when poo looks like tar, don't cover the cord with a diaper until it falls off
