spinal bifida

This is my first pregnancy I'm 18 weeks and we just found out that my little girl has spinal bifida. I was told and what I've looked up this baby will have so much pain and we don't know how really bad it will be until she is born. I've been so sick and crying constantly since tuesday. I can't sleep, I don't know what to do

My step daughter is 12 with SB.  She is incredibly active and enjoys life.  She cheers,  takes karate, dances.  No special accommodations at school.  Just stay calm and in prayer.

I'm so sorry, I can't imagine.
I know that two of the three types of Spina Bifida aren't typically that severe but they often don't mention that it's SB unless it is. You guys are in my thoughts.

They said they won't know anything till she's born. We won't know how bad the spinal cord is or how her brain is effected. All we know is she'll be in a lot pain best case, and using those walking braces

That's very difficult news to process. Did they say which type of Spina Bifida it is? I'm praying it's the least troublesome. Be careful about internet research, it's good to an extent but any extra stress will transfer to baby.
