Update on u/s today

I went for my u/s today and I'm really happy that we saw a heart beat.  My only concern is that my beta is 40809 today.  Last time I had a beta done was last Monday, so it's been a week.  Last Monday it came back at 7340.  It didn't double and  I'm 6w and 2 days pregnant. I don't know what to think.

stph9803= I got my beta last night on my voicemail, so I didn't get a change to talk to anyone about it.  She did say on the voicemail that my numbers look good.  We did see the hb during the u/s.

Princessa745-The baby's hb was in normal range and everything measured perfectly.  A couple of betas before this one my beta numbers were more then doubling every 48 hour.  Now, they slowed down a lot and didn't even come close to doubling.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I wouldn't worry too much yet. They say once you can see on ultrasound not to go crazy over HCG. What was the baby's heartbeat. If it was in normal range, try to relax and not over worry yourself.

One of the posts below shows the average HCG levels. What did the dr. say? Some people do have slow rising numbers. I put it into an HCG calculator and got this...

Assessment: The Two-Day hCG rise was 63 % and is considered adequate.
First hCG: 7340 mIU/ml  Second hCG: 40809 mIU/ml
hCG Difference:
33469 mIU/ml  Time Difference:
168 hours  Total hCG Increase:
4.56 % (5.6)
Daily Rate Increase:
28 % (1.28)  Two Day Rate Increase:
63 % (1.63)
1st Day hCG As If:
9395 mIU/ml  2 Days hCG As If:
12004 mIU/ml
