Cleaners and Pregnancy

Hey so last night I had cleaned my oven well after I cleaned it using the Oven off stuff I forgot you weren't suppose to touch it and I grabbed the scrub pad with my bare hand to throw it in the washer to be cleaned. I think the cleaner on the pad burned my hand it feels weird and you can't feel the lines on my fingers anymore, I also started to feel sick and had a weird taste in my mouth. Could this have hurt my little baby girl? Has anyone done this but still had a healthy baby? I am so worried about her I think I am gonna call my OB on Monday!! What could this have done to the baby?

I agree, stay away from cleaners that are not natural.  I used bleach the clean out my bathrooms and 15 minutes later I had a massive nose bleed.  I also have Clorox Greenworks that I SHOULD have been using which I will from now on since its mostly natural.

Just use non-caustic (the one you leave to soak overnight) instead of caustic (the one that burns when you breathe it and eats your fingerprints away).

Gloves are also a good idea regardless of what you use.

It is more the fumes as if you were to get it on your skin I think. If you washed it right away I think you are fine.

Even bathroom cleaners are very bad to breath during pregnancy! Try vinager and water to clean surfaces and bathtubs do great with baking soda for film or hard water. It is just like a magic eraser on hard water! They ahve alot of green cleaners too you can buy.

I woudl scratch the oven cleaners while you are pregnant though
