Well, at least I can look forward to losing this baby fat faster...that is always a plus..LOL!!, Thanks.
I walk alot, and i work a job that requires me to be on my feet for up to 9 hours strait at least twice a week. I stayed active my last pregnancy and my labor was really easy. On that same note my sister has never exercised with any of her four kids and she had really easy labors with all of them. I don't really know if it helps the labor but i think it will at least help take off the baby weight quicker after the bundle of joy is here.
I have been walking at least a mile every day, I did 3 miles one day this week, although its getting pretty hot here, I may keep it down to 1 mile in the mornings. I do feel better when I walk, but I am still having severe nausea at 7 months, so it keeps me from doing much.
Me too! I started about a month ago walking almost 2 miles around my neighborhood. It has uphills, downhills, and straightaways so I don't get too tired doing one thing. I definitely feel better after I do it. THis is my first, so I am not sure if it will help my labor, but I know it can't hurt to walk :)
Thank you ladies!
Ashelen, I agree with you, I really do feel much better after a long walk. I use to work out alot before I got pregnant but, during my first 4 months I was extremely tired and didn't do anything. But, since I started to walk, I don't feel sluggish and lazy. I hope this works and my labor is not a long one.
YES I believe it's 100% true. I walked CONSTANTLY during my pregnancy with my daughter and aside from tearing the whole process was a breeze and I was able to push hard with no problem (but that's probably as much anatomy and body type as exercise, but who knows...). I walked 2 miles 3 days before my daughter was born (with a dropped baby, BH contractions and all) LOL and I used to swim every day. With this one, I walk at least 30-45 minutes a day, take my daughter to the park for 45 minutes a day, and I've started swimming in the afternoons for about 20-30 minutes. We use a lot of sunblock, but I feel SOOO much better on the days I exercise I notice a huge difference, and I truly believe it will help during L&D. I did light yoga during the first trimester with this preg (except when on bedrest) and I don't feel like it did much.
Walked throughout the pregnancy, but started light hand weights and faster walking on treadmill with mild incline the past month. I exercised much harder than this with my first pregnancy and still had a very hard delivery, but I feel so much better when I exercise I couldn't wait to be out of the miscarriage window so I could exercise again with this one :)
