i am 10 weeks pregnant with my second baby and went to see my doctor the other day....she said i was measuring smaller than 10 weeks and we werent able to hear the heatbeat...she wants me to have an ultrasound as soon as possible...do you think something could be wrong with my baby?
Hey there, I'm sorry to hear about that. I know anything that doesn't sound good can be really really stressful. I just had my appointment today, and I am a little over 10 weeks too. She said she didn't know if she would be able to hear a heartbeat on the doppler because it can be really hard to detect at 10 weeks. 10 weeks is the minimum (she said) that they do doppler and don't always have luck picking it up. I'm about 10.5 weeks, and after a LONG time searching, she finally found something. But don't let it worry you yet because it doesn't mean that the baby is not doing ok just because the doppler didn't pick it up. I would schedule the ultrasound for as soon as possible, so you can get some peace of mind. Good luck to you
Heartbeats are difficult to find with doppler this early, I agree. Think positive, I'm sure all is just fine. (I didn't think they even measured that early??) Good luck with the u/s....I'm sure it will be fine! Keep us posted!
